On Thursday 13th of January a meeting was held at the Maes Cwstenin Sheltered Housing Unit to discuss various problems affecting the Maes Derw estate and surrounding area. The meeting was chaired by Police Inspector Ian Maxwell and attended by representatives from North Wales Police, the local councils and local Neighbourhood Watch schemes.During the meeting those attending were divided into groups, each of these being given a specific topic to identify problems and possible solutions. At the end of the session each group's work was outlined to the whole meeting and their various merits discussed.
Inspector Maxwell informed those attending that he would take the results of this meeting and use them as the basis of an action plan to help resolve the problems being experienced in the area. After this had been formulated a further meeting would be arranged in the near future.
